Lera was still walking when she bumped into Jamie. It was nearly a quite literal thing, as she was looking at her phone and checking her e-mail. She looked up at the last minute and saw Jamie -- and thanks to his slower gait, she stopped quickly -- and laughed reflexively out of nervousness.
"Oh, gosh, sorry!" she said. "I was about to bowl you over, there, huh?"
She looked around for a second and took a step out of the way. She had no jacket on, and her pistol was in her pursue, but she had bought a sword. Her short, double-edged blade, not unlike Marlene's, was buckled to her waist. A little practice made Lera better with it and she decided it sent a nice, clear message she wanted sent.
