Any other time, Anais would have hated that she was in debt to a druid. Even so, she did have to admit that it was effective, and infinitely less painful than casting her holy spells had been. Still, at least none of them were in danger of lapsing into another coma anytime soon, and she was happy to be back to normal. She felt a bit sluggish still, but the druid had assured her that would pass in time. Either way, closer to normal was better than being almost dead.

"I suppose we should ask Tavan about the friend of his who sent the druid to us," she said after a moment as she finished brushing her hair at long last. It had gotten ratty since she had fallen into that state of near-death. "After all, he did save us." Anais finally set the brush aside on the table near her side of the bed and glanced over at Lynea curiously. "What do you think?"

[The search for Amy leads to an old, run-down building, windows and doors boarded over. Some say it's condemned, others say the city intends to renovate it eventually. It appears at a glance to be inaccessible, but searching finds that the boards covering the rear entrance aren't secure.

The rear of the building exits out into an alley, where little light leads at night. The perfect place to disappear. Entering the building is as simple as shifting a few of the boards out of the way. It's dark inside, with no light coming in from outside.

Somewhere in that building is Nayan, or at least Nayan's cell phone, and possibly the other missing people. And also quite possibly a monster.]

[ it is while queen omid is watching a movie on netflix that a member of her personal guard steps inside and informs her that her pizza delivery is here.

outside, at the edge of the barricade set up by the national guard, there is, indeed, a pizza boy standing next to the sharifa. he is huddling under a large umbrella and looking just as miserable as everyone else who has to spend more than a minute out in this nightmare of a downpour. a paladin from the city hall waves them closer. once they're at the edge of the building, a few more paladins come out to pat them down. weapons (and umbrellas) are confiscated with muttered reassurances that they'll be returned, and perhaps a few are unwilling to look the sharifa's paladins in the eye.

It was still early in the evening and Lynea walked into the apartment. That alone would be strange to anyone that lived with her. While Lynea did seem to be something of a freeloader, she usually stayed out until late in the evening, possibly not even then at times.

Yet here she was, stepping into the living room and sat herself down on the couch. No grand declarations of her appearance, no flirtatious laugh with a handsome or beautiful person in hand, not even a inebriated stumble.

Instead, the person that sat down was almost completely another person entirely. She sat there quietly on the couch, the one set of knuckles holding her chin up from the armrest, her muscles as still and tense as stone. Even her facial expression wasn't any sort of mask of amusement, but instead revealed a small frown complimented by the hollowed eyes of a long experienced killer.

The aura that hung over her was of what you expected from an assassin of her veterancy and Lynea didn't seem to care.

If her roommate ever decided, Lynea didn't bother to look at her or acknowledge her. She was far too much in a bad mood to even bother with that.
