[All the real partyin' is gonna be happening from twilight to sunrise, with some inn-owners volunteering the booze (they are not checking IDs ofc), some catering ala monster hunters and the bonfire, and a couple local bands volunteering some music--there's an even split of indie groups from Earth and performers that crossed over from Zen, even a few collaborations between them. Tip them if you like them!]

[This is pretty illegal actually, but nobody's going to try to stop them until the bonfire gets out of control late Tuesday night.]

That is correct! At the end of the day, I was let off of the fine. I still think they should have faced me in a trial by combat!

Earth does not have guardsmen, they have policemen. They charge fines or put you in jail but do not like to fight.

[She in unsure if Harriet is making fun of Bog or not but squints at her suspiciously anyway.]

Yes. [She pulls up her phone and does a quick google search, pulling up a (really short) vid of a football game pile-up, showing it to Bograak]

[She is not really a fan of it. Nor of wrestling. She'll let Harriet explain that one, but she nods to Bograak at the question.]

Elegant sports. Figure skating is really pretty. There is no battle in that, though.

Okay well for one thing, there's two footballs, there's one with kicking and one where kicking is forbidden, it's VERY CONFUSING although maybe now that I'm Khshathra I have a moral obligation to understand all things that once confounded me, including sports.

Pro wrestling is just people in goofy costumes pretending to beat one another up. Or really beating one another up? It's debated.

Pretend fighting. [Bograak says this a little flatly. Looks like he fixated on part of what you said, Harriet.] Bring me to these so-called wrestlers! I will demonstrate to them the true meaning of courage!

Hm... I see! The objective is to tackle one unfortunate individual! This is a sport I can agree with in principle!

[Hm, though...] This ice skating sounds fun, too, if not quite for me. [He laughs and slaps his gut. Go ahead, picture him in tights, do it.]

I think it's to kick the ball over a goal but they seem to tackle a lot... [granted she's only watched the highest-rated vids on youtube]

[Nope she's not picturing Bog in tights... well okay maybe she is. And she's giggling. LOOK SHE STOPPED GLARING]

It looks like a lot of fun but no you would not be so good at it. But it's okay! You're good at other stuff! Like fighting!

Oh, maybe boxing! I think that's real? [she looks at Harriet for confirmation??]

Wow, you know, I don't even know which sports are real! I need to sit down and start reading encyclopedias or something!

[The Khshathra doesn't know which sports are real and which aren't? This is a surprise to him. He imagines sports are a vital part of a guild leader's duties.]

Boxing? What does that one entail? [He glances at Irene because Harriet seems unsure!]

[Irena isn't surprised, but a little disappointed. Figures the new Khshathra wouldn't be very knowledgable of things even in her own world! Wait, that might be worth telling Nova!]

Punching. They wear big, funny gloves and punch each other in a boxing ring, a square with ropes around it, and they bleed a lot. [she hadn't watched much after the first vid- the whole 'bleeding' thing wasn't... something she wanted to watch. :(]

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

Oh! I hear in hockey they sometimes interrupt games to have random fistfights. Hockey's a game where guys skate around on ice, except it's manlier than figure skating because they hit a puck with sticks.

And then punch eachother.

Does Earth have... baking sports?

Baking... sports? [Irena looks at Bog a little confused. 'Sports' and 'baking' are not two words she'd ever tried to google together.]

[She holds up the phone and starts to pull up google to look it up, but gets a youtube video in the search, which makes her glance at the Khshathra. The idea of 'telling Nova' things suddenly becomes 'showing him things', and she silently flips the camera on on her phone, pretending to use the search function.]

Baking...sports?

...Well, reality TV has competitive baking, that's kind of like a sport! A bunch of chefs show up to see who is the best baker and some famous cooking expert yells at all of them and stresses them out and then they eliminate somebody every episode!

[Bograak really doesn't understand the concept of the phone as a camera. He's still struggling with figuring out how to call people and send text messages. He assumes Irena is working sorcery with it.]

Inform them that I have challenged all of them! Bograak the Foe-Cleaver's baking beard will leave them quaking in their boots with fear!

I'm not sure it works that way? What is it called? [She looks at Harriet expectantly, finger over the keypad as though she intends to type it into her search AW YEAH SHE IS SNEAKY LOOK AT THE CAMERA GO]

Oh yeah, you have to have some kind of established bakery to get on the show. They tap people who are already popular and then pit them against one another in a brutal baking showdown.

[He processes what Harriet says. Oh. Damn it all. Still, she does raise an interesting point. He nods his head, finger going to his mighty bearded chin.]

Irena! To compete, I must open a bakery! I will open such an establishment!

Ah? [Surprised, Irena lowers her phone to blink up at Bog. His own bakery...?]

You would need to learn how to use Earth ovens, first. Unless you opened a place with Zenderael ovens? [He could do that, right? Most of Bastan was already on Earth, anyway.]

[A glance back to the phone and- oh, those are the Khshathra's shoes, oops. She flips the camera off, worried about getting caught...]
