[EVENT] - Medena's solstice

Who: Open!
When: Monday the 20th & Tuesday the 21st (post the day in your subject)
Where: The high school football field in Underwood, where Medena resides
Before/After: N/A
Warnings: TBA

[If Marlene has your phone number, consider yourself invited. If she doesn't have your phone number but has met you once, consider yourself run into on the street and then invited. (And then she probably asked for your phone number afterward.)]

[All the real partyin' is gonna be happening from twilight to sunrise, with some inn-owners volunteering the booze (they are not checking IDs ofc), some catering ala monster hunters and the bonfire, and a couple local bands volunteering some music--there's an even split of indie groups from Earth and performers that crossed over from Zen, even a few collaborations between them. Tip them if you like them!]

[This is pretty illegal actually, but nobody's going to try to stop them until the bonfire gets out of control late Tuesday night.]

[He stumbles a little, mostly out of surprise.]

Y'weren't real! Y'weren't... It was just a game... [His voices gets quieter at the end and he gets a distant look to his eyes.

It wasn't a game. I had never been a game. The people who'd died, him laughing at the paranoia, and now his father- and Rhys and Gabe in Zenderael, the war, everything.

He focuses back on her, sad, regretful.]

I'm sorry. I- When you cast a spell in the hall- that wasn't s'posed to be possible. I didn't know what was goin' on. I thought- [He stops. He'd thought it had been the mods, but that didn't matter. That was an excuse.]

[Frowning, he looks into his empty glass and mumbles to himself,]

'm not real good at this sober.

[He watches her, stunned, not just from having her drink across his chest, but also her blaming it on him. Like he'd grabbed her by the wrist and jerked her hand forward or something. It's fucking annoying. He has to bite his lip not to snap back a retort.]

[But his desire to try and give her the apology she seemed to want is gone.]

[He turns and starts walking, not caring where- just away from her.]
