[Suddenly we have almost the entire cast of the game in the same place at the same time! What does that mean? REUNION THREADS!]

[Here is an open post for all your threading needs! This should make it easier to have mingling threads, open threads, random encounters, multiple participants, etc etc etc]

[Basically any characters you'd like to have meeting up in the new, merged Bastan may do so here. Stick a time in your subjectline and if you're doing it on a day other than Sunday (this post is good for all of week 32), add a date tag for it. Go wild!]

[she pulls back, but keeps her arms around his neck]

That's one word for it.

Strangest part's meetin' all these people who created people you know, bloody surreal, yeah?

[he chuckles and gives his head a gentle shake, but lets her hang on to him, keeping one arm around her waist. it's not exactly unpleasant.]

The only players I've really dealt with are guild leaders. Lera, of course, but also the Mano and the Ahura. [There's a silent pause. The Mano had died... And not even in the war. But losing people was a part of being a soldier, so he moves on.]

Mm, the Ahura did create someone we both know... I only know because of some correspondences between himself and my own player that I found.

Oh! Virelai! [ :D! she knows that one] She told me ages ago. Too excited about it to keep it to herself.

[He quirks a brow, and chuckles.]

Ah, well. I suppose she had to tell someone. He's an interesting fellow. Didn't get much time to actually talk, but he's a good leader.

[...wait a minute. that + what he said before, realization sinks in]

[she pulls back, hands sliding to his shoulders, and gives him a disbelieving look.]

You mean Vivi didn't tell you?

[he shrugs.]

We didn't speak for a while before I reclaimed the league, and then with the war, we haven't had much time for idle conversation.

[aaand pulling away completely now, hands on her hips]

Why weren't you speaking before then?

[this is a little awkward. he doesn't like the implications behind this revelation.

he rubs at the back of his neck, hesitant to speak.]

I'm... not entirely sure, but I suspect it had something to do with my player.

[her expression darkens]

Why the bollocks would he keep you from talkin' to Vivi?

I'm not sure it was keeping me from speaking to her so much as avoiding speaking to her himself. Even if it was through me.

[he pauses to try and figure out how to explain.]

I had a conversation with her. She was concerned with the Mano having gone missing, and with the Ahura's well-being. I tried to ease her concerns. I recall the conversation. What I don't recall was that it seemed to spark a conversation between my player and the Ahura, though he didn't sign the letters as such. Having only his replies, I'm unsure the extent of the conversation, but it implied that I wasn't to ask after him when I spoke to her.

I made no attempt to contact her after that, until after getting the league reorganized. And even then I was unsure if I should.

[she pursed her lips, tapping them thoughtfully]

You don't suppose your player and the Ahura were at odds, d'you?

I can only speculate, but it would explain things.

[she is not sure whether to be sad or angry now] That's awful that he'd let that keep you from speakin' to 'er, though!

[he shrugs] If he felt speaking to her might offend him, I can see why he wouldn't. I'm more uncomfortable with the fact that I was still being controlled at the time. How much of what I did was for a reason such as that?

Most of it, seems like. He used you to cover his own arse quite a bit.

[he quirks a brow.]

You're certain? I don't recall acting particularly out of character. Though I'm not sure I'd remember if I had.

Stickin' Val in charge wasn't very in-character of you.

[pause.]

Well. I don't especially recall doing that. [probably why he'd forgotten about it so easily.]

I don't think she did, either. She laughed when I told her.

Guess that answers that, then.

Bet there's plenty else you don't remember.

I suppose. There's plenty I don't remember for other reasons, as well, but I'm not too upset about it. [the whole 'missing twenty years of your life' thing is a little disconcerting, but... it doesn't really bother him anymore.]

I... recall the incident that frightened you. I'm still not certain what happened, only that you froze me in place and fled.

[oh. she remembers that.]

Your player was fuckin' around with me. Told me he knew what was goin' on with those blackouts and took control of me to prove it.

Then later he had you claim you were awake now and weren't then, 'cept you wasn't then either.

[scowling]

[he's not sure what to think. the guy's shown a lot of responsibility with handling the league up til having him quit. but he fucked with Marlene.]

[but there might be more to it than that. he has no idea.]

I apparently wasn't for quite some time. I wonder, sometimes, why some of us took longer to wake than others.
