[Suddenly we have almost the entire cast of the game in the same place at the same time! What does that mean? REUNION THREADS!]

[Here is an open post for all your threading needs! This should make it easier to have mingling threads, open threads, random encounters, multiple participants, etc etc etc]

[Basically any characters you'd like to have meeting up in the new, merged Bastan may do so here. Stick a time in your subjectline and if you're doing it on a day other than Sunday (this post is good for all of week 32), add a date tag for it. Go wild!]

Hmm. I may ask what that requires. It would be useful information to have, regardless.

[If only because Anais isn't entirely sure how easily she'll adjust to being back in the barracks after having an apartment (mostly) to herself. But, then again, the apartment may get lonely if it's just her there.]

[She pauses, glancing back over at Ravi.]

Are you considering leaving the barracks?

Ah... Well...

[how do you even explain this? 'my boyfriend's girlfriend burned their house down and I think she needs someplace to stay where she's guaranteed not to be alone']

[lie, instead] My sister could stay with me, that way.

[That is an acceptable answer. Anais honestly wouldn't have known what to make of the truth.]

How is your sister?

She's fine. [the last time he saw her, she was telling him his boyfriend was dead, though...]

Did you know, she became a messenger for the Mazda? [he can't help it, he sounds proud of her when he says it]

I did not! That is quite impressive.

[Knowing Lera, she probably made friends with Vati really quickly, too.]

[ if the thunderous footsteps didn't clue them in, the sudden bearhug that squished the two of them together and then crushed them was probably a sign that the aforementioned rasmus had found them. ]

Ravindra! Anais!

[ too happy for further words, the big man simply holds them tightly and lifts them off the ground in the process ]

[initially panic, and then he realizes what's going on when he hears the voice]

[aaa he can't even feel awkward and annoyed about this, it's fucking RASMUS, omg he hasn't seen you in ages you big ox!]

[Wait wa---

Before she realizes what's going on, Rasmus has pulled them both into a ridiculously tight hug. She isn't inclined to hug, ever, but that doesn't mean she doesn't appreciate Rasmus' hugs. Still...]

Rasmus. Air.

[Breathing is a good thing, damn it. :|]

[ anais he's seen around but ravindra he most definitely has not seen around, and seeing both of them at the same time brings back such wonderful memories! ahhh it really is like everything is back to normal!

it's really not anywhere near normal but it doesn't take much to make rasmus feel at home. ]

Ah- ah! Yes, ah, forgive me, Anais.

[ he sets them both down with extra caution before drawing up again. he's back in his breastplate and furred cape and wolf skull pauldron and looking quite pleased with himself. earth fashion simply wasn't for him. ]

Ah! Ravindra! It is very good to see you again!

[yes breathing, that is good, he is good with this]

[but omg ras!!!!!!!! he has been in just the worst mood these past few days and now he feels AMAZING because RASMUS]

[he looks up at Ras, setting a hand on his arm. another hug feels just a little too awkward, but that'll do. he's grinning. not broadly, but the fact that he's grinning AT ALL is pretty indicative of just how happy he is at the moment]

[(makes it pretty easy to see the gap in his teeth that wasn't there the last time Anais saw him, too)]

Rasmus! I missed you!

Yelling at my other friends isn't the same.

[He gets a little awkward pat on the arm as a reward.

Anais is about to scold Ravi about how she's pretty sure that isn't exactly how friendship is supposed to work, but then she notices the gap and what the hell?]

Savarna, what happened to your mouth?

[bulldozer]

Ahhh, no one has yelled at me much since last I saw you! Well... not in the way of friends yelling at me. [ huge difference!

he blinks at Anais' outburst and looks at ravi again. he can't really see it from up where he is, so he has no idea what she's talking about.

he leans in a little to whisper to Anais ]

He is smiling, Anais. That is a smile.

[he's joking anais jeeeez]

[AND WOW TACTLESS. that smile is gone in a puff of smoke, poof, vanished. he JUST got used to it being a thing and enough people having already seen it that he doesn't have to address it anymore AND HERE WE GO AGAIN]

[he averts his gaze, awkwardly bringing a hand to his mouth, knuckles pressing against the spot where the gap is]

[but before he can say anything rasmus interjects]

[he's not sure whether to be more angry at anais for bringing it up in the first place, or at rasmus for pointing out how infrequently he smiles. he opts for just glaring at them both]

She means the tooth your player knocked out, Rasmus. [ >:( conveniently addressing both issues at once! ANGRILY.]

[Anais is a tactless queen, Ravi. :| You should know this.

Still, her eyes widen a bit as what he snaps at them both. Given what she knows of Ravi's dislike for players, there's really only one conclusion she can come to here and it isn't a particularly good one.]

Savarna, please tell me you did not get into a fight with the Spenta.

Do you want me to tell her for you?

[look their friendship is back to normal already!]

[he folds his arms, glaring at the ground]

I had kitchen duty for a month. [grumbled admission of guilt]

Wait, did this happen around the same time she wrote to him and was treating all players as this monolith thing? Still. NO EXCUSE, RAVI.]

Why would you do that? He could have removed you from the guard.

[Even with her tone being it's usual "you're an idiot" sort of thing, Anais is seriously concerned about this. Ravi fighting with the Spenta is kind of a serious offense. :(]

Ahh, Anais, this is quite an uncomfortable subject... [ particularly because this is his player you are talking about here ]

[he snaps Anais a glare. he knows that ok!! it was stupid and he has no excuse and he doesn't want to have his dumb decisions shoved in his face]

[rasmus speaks up before he can make it worse. ty rasmus you're a bro. ravi relents and just seethes in anais's general direction]

[And she knows that, okay? But you're her friend, Ravi, and some of the stuff you've been doing worries her, not that she's ever admitted it before, but she's been trying to get a bit better about stuff like that.]

I understand that, but he is our friend, Rasmus. You cannot tell me it would not have upset you greatly if we had returned and he was not here.

[This is the first time Anais has ever used that word to refer to Rasmus or Ravindra, so... have fun with that, guys.]

[ there's some waffling done by rasmus, some hemming and hawing as he considers this, because it would have ]

It is... It is a thing... [ and he's mumbling now, just barely audible, even to the two of them, his voice more of a rumble than a boom ] Difficult to say, what is deserved... a light sentence, for the strength of Ravindra's punch... it is over, and should be glad of it, I suppose... [ mumble mumble ]

[he is just even more irritated now]

It happened months ago, Vallinar! Not yesterday!

[Strongly resisting the urge to throw her hands up in the air in frustration here, but she looks a little distraught, which is more than what anybody would usually get with her]

I do not know that, do I? For all I know, you still consider players to be this monolith because you do not tell anybody anything.

[Because Rasmus was clearly in on this, too, since he knew.]

Between the two of you, I am beginning to think I preferred the company of the assassin, if only because she was infinitely more open than either one of you.
